Good afternoon to all. After a year of searching and saving up for a sizable down-payment I finally found a 2015 RXP-X 260. I really liked the new superchargers on the 2016s but was able to work out what I felt was a good deal on this new jet ski. I am waiting for the dealer to get a few accessories in that they had to order. Hopefully I'll have it in the next couple weeks so I can get it out on the water to do some fishing.

I've been exploring posts throughout the site to see if there is anything I need to do with my ski right off the bat. (Potential problems I could take care off before they happen)

The Dealer is installing a few accessories: (Nothing Major)
Speed Tie System
Depth Finder
Removable Bumper Guards

I've read about several things to do to the supercharger (which I almost chose not to get to avoid headache). Do these things need to be done immediately or is it best to let it go until 2 Year warranty is up? I've tossed around the idea of "ECU remapping" (new to owning a Jet Ski so I might be wrong on terms) but I don't know if it would be any use to me. I'll be riding in the Pamlico Sound with the occasional trip to Ocracoke and swells can pop up out of nowhere so I don't know how fast I would actually be able to go. Just look for opinions and pitfalls, especially any specific to this specific model.

After waiting on several accessories to come in, I was finally able to pick my Jet Ski up today. The sad part is I will be unable to ride it until Saturday because of work. It's so tempting to skip out on my meeting tonight but figure I should try to keep my job to make the payments.

Great looking ski! You have come to the right place. Congrats!

Thanks, I can't wait and look forward to getting it on the water. I was pumped when I finally came across a new 2015 for a good deal. Now if I can come across an older model to restore for others to ride I'll be in great shape.

I was finally able to take it out and ride this morning. This machine did not disappoint. I was careful to vary the rpm's and limited how many times I really got on it. I put it in sport mode and was amazed when it came across the screen to warn my passengers.

The salesperson spent a good bit of time telling me about the seat design and I had pretty much wrote that part off but after riding for an hour the seat makes all the difference in the world. There was a storm in the sound with a breeze blowing up a few waves and my thighs were squeezing that seat to not get tossed off. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds but can see myself spending many hours zipping across the sound.

I will add that I am real happy about my decision to add the depth finder to be able to stay off the sand bars.

Wow, I'm glad you enjoyed her maiden voyage. I enjoy my older Seadoos, I have recently invested more in my XP than I could get out of it, so I will just have to get my money's worth of fun out of it. Due to increased scarcity of parts I am making tentative plans to, Lord willing, get a new one next Spring if all goes well. I especially enjoyed how the info screen warmed your passenger when you entered sport mode.
