Seems like it doesn't grab water from a start. Also reverse seems non existent for similar reason.
With almost full throtle it will finally grab and then it does great.
Plenty power and fast.
Is this normal operation. Seems like all or non until on plane.

OK....

Reverse is almost non-existent on a jet boat. (normal)

If you are cavitating, check the clearance between the impeller and the wear ring. Also, make sure your drive shaft seals are greased. It will take 80% throttle to get on a plane... but then you should be able to throttle back to 60% to have a 30 mph cruse. If you pull the power back any more than that... you will fall off of a plane.
