A buddy asked me to help him with his carbs. I brought my manuals over, and we got the low speed set, but the plastic caps are off the high speed screws. He says he didn't take them off, but regardless, how do we need to set these. I know you need to fine tune it on the water, but what is a good initial setting? All the carbs on my skis have had these caps in place. His high speed screws look to be adjusted differently on each carb.

OK, and did you put plastic caps back on your high speed screws, or just leave caps off? I may run them in all the way, and just keep backing out until starts to run bad, then just turn back in 1/8 and it should be rich enough then. Thanks.

The 787 seadoo engine is designed to run with the High speed screw At "0" It will have good performance and economy set properly. Run it too rich, it will foul spark plugs. That's why there are setting to adjust the carb to.
