High RPM

This may be a stupid question but I will ask anyways. I have 1997 Challenger and one of the engines starts and will not go below 2500 rpms. Is it within the cable adjustments or carb?

It is running 2500 rpm on one engine and the other is running @ 1500 in the water.

3k on land, 1.5 on water. The idle is adjusted by a stopper on one of the carbs on each motor.

M9ight need to go thru carbs, and see whats happening. If you just bought it, the nmaybe they messed with settings to accommodate a clogged carb...
