Hey guys, new to the forum. I just got done replacing the grey fuel lines and the wear ring on a 95 seadoo GTX. I did the exact same thing on both of our 96 GSXs and they both run fantastic. The GTX however does not. I did not test drive it, but he told me that it will run great up to about 3/4 thottle. If you jam the gas itll rev fine to 7, bog to 3-4, and then slowly come back up. It idles fine. I cleaned the carbs and filters, replaced the fuel lines, and cleaned the fuel selector when I worked on it. He said t kinda acts like its starving fo fuel.

Also, he said it still doesn't come up out of the water like it should even with the new wear ring. What else could it be? It revs fine, but acts like its still not getting water through the pump

If it's still cavitating it could be the carbon ring. Kinda late to tell you this but it would have been a lot easier to replace while you had the pump off.

Also did you clean the fuel selector, gas filter, and carb. filters?

Lou

What is the carbon ring?
Yes, I took the carbs completely apart and cleaned all filters as well as the fuel selector
