Hey everyone I got a 2000 gti and Im thinking about deleting the oil injection and yes I would rather the motor be safe. I know you have to cap the pump and the injection inlets but i was wondering about the 1/2 inch tube that comes out the bottom of the motor back to the oil tank can i just cap that too or should i build a catch can for that? One reason im replacing the pump the cable to it is about to break and I can find some for it

No, the motor will be perfectly safe with the oil injection and you will use a lot less oil and the rotary gear will be happy too.

The only thing you need to do on a Seadoo to keep the oil injection reliable is change the little 3/32" oil lines from the oil pump to the intake every 10 years and use the correct oil.

You can get the cable brand new from Seadoo.

To answer your other question, no you should not cap off the 1/2 lines. You will have to leave the oil tank in with some oil in it anyway to feed those lines.

Stick with the oil injection. It's very reliable on these machines.

First thought is "WHY?".

Leave the oil injection. Sea-Doo has a VERY reliable injection system.

Like I tell everyone that wants to delete it, "you have a higher chance of putting straight gas in your tank than you do of that injection system failing".
