Help with 2004 rxp 3 pot and cylinder

Need some help. 04 rxp just stalled while riding and will not start. We checked the plugs and the 3 rd plug was smashed and also cylinder has lost compression, also seem to be water everywhere. We would like to take the head off and check damaged to cylinder,valves, pistons..etc. Does anybody have instruction on how to disassemble head. Would appreciate your help to find out extent of damage.

this is a common problem on 04-05's, they have bad vales and very common for them to drop valves. Pull the pump and driveshaft out and try and turn the motor over so #3 is at top dead center and lock the cam inplace befor you remove the head this way youll know if its timing that caused the problem or if it dropped a valve.

thanks, were going to give it a try tomorrow. We think the water might have come in the engine from towing it in.

How fast were you towing in???
