So my interstate AGM battery died out. I'm going to get a new one but I'm not sure what type I need.
I've decided on an AGM for the 2000 GTX, but from what I read online there are "starter batteries" and "deep cycle" batteries. Which type do I need and do you have any suggestions on specific models?

You don't need the deep cycle, those are for powering introlling motors and such. Search online, Deka has been a great source for batteries for my stuff.

any good quality sealed battery will work. Typical "model" number would be YB16CL-B or YB18CL. The 16 or 18 is the Amp Hours. Deep cycle are for places where you get heavy drain like electric carts. "starter" are like car batteries where you need to get a gas vehicle started and then it gets charged while in use.

I just by the least expensive one that fits and keep it on a charger once a week if it sits. Mine last 2-3 years

You can pick one up on ebay for about $60 including shipping. Comes in 2-3 days
