Hello all I am new to this. My Name is Debbie. I have a 2001 Sea doo LRV 951 that I blew the piston apart. I sent it out for the jug to be resleved and new pistons. Question is my head is damaged and I was looking on Ebay and found some.
Will a 1998 Seadoo 951 head fit? I looked it up on a sea doo parts and they have different part numbers. They look the same.

I believe they are different. I cant tell you exactly what is different, but I talked with on of our tech and he said they did make a change.

There was a difference from the early head to the newer ones. If the head is only slightly damaged... you can probably sand it clean. Can you post a pic?

you can up load them to a site like "Photobucket", and then you can link them to a post.

If the head is jut beat up a little... you can normally sand any of the sharp edges off... and re-use it. It does not need to be perfect, but you can't have any cracks in it.

I've seen worse.

You can lightly sand the sharp edges off the bad side... and make it look like the "Not so bad" side. Then... when you put the top end back together, just set the squash band on the big side of spec.

If you use the last option in photobucket. (with the IMG tag) it will show up like this...
