I was told that the heavy oil could be the seals not sure which ones? Maybe rotary seals leaking that were causing the oil pouring out exhuast? If i was to put the block off plates over the oil pumps and start mixing the gas would this solve my issue or not? I would appreciate any advice! Really dont want to pull the motor.

If you switch to premix with leaking rv seals, the rv cavity will go dry and your engine will go boom!

I would check your oil pump setting first before assuming you have leaking rv seals.

But answer your question, the only way to fix rv crank seals is to pull the motor.

Okay thankyou

Is it possible it's just the seal on the rotary valve itself? Or most likely on the crank? And to change the seals on the crank a Machine shop would have to do that is that correct I can't just change them can I? You mean make sure the lines on the pump are lining up at idle and at full throttle? Correct?

It is possible that it could be the rv shaft seal but unlikely. Normally, it's the crank seals and a machine shop will have to replace these since the crank will need separated, but you're normally better off getting a complete rebuilt crank for $250.

The alignment marks should be aligned at idle. Has this been sitting for several years without much use? I've seen the crank/rv seals leak after prolonged sitting.

How bad is the oil coming from the exhaust? Is it something you can live with because many times the engine will still run fine but may foul plugs quicker than normal due to the extra oil.

Heavy oil

It is pretty heavy oil I could probably live with it if I didn't start it in my driveway anymore! Lol that could be expensive using all that oil though couldn't it? I'm wanting to sell the boat but I don't want to sell someone a boat that isn't right? Yes it was sitting awhile a few years. It does run fine though! I'm keeping my sportser and wanting to fix up the 96 speedster too and possibly sell it also?
