Has anyone experienced a sudden nose dive.

My neighbor has a 180 Challenger and was on the river yesterday and the boat suddenly nose dived and filled with water and he had to be towed back in.
I know you can submarine the boats purposely but this was not the case.

Any Ideas as to what might cause this to happen accidentally. If he had sucked something up could that cause this to happen.

Maybe his reverse buckets dropped? There's a latch that is supposed to catch them at WOT. Maybe his latch failed or his cable broke or was out of adjustment?

That's what I am thinking, the bucket dropped suddenly. Thanks I'll mentio it to him

Definitely sounds like reverse bucket woes!
