I'm having a problem starting my 95 SPX after adding fresh gas. It runs great for hours but we always dread having to refuel because it is so tough to start again. Fortunately, we've got a great battery and it will eventually get it fired. Runs like crap for a couple minutes once it finally starts but then it's great for another couple hours of fun. Anyone else experience this issue and know the cure?

Hard to start after refueling

Its time to check compression, update the fuel lines and new plastic selector valve,
clean separator filter & square O-ring. Clean the carbs & their micro-filters and re-check
pop-off after re-assembly. Measure the RV cover clearance as cause of hard starting, have that machined for crisp intantaneous starting. Well worth the money!

Good advice, but...
I already did most of that trying to solve a weird problem earlier this year. Replaced the fuel lines, selector valve fuel probe and cleaned out carb for that previous issue only to learn that it was related to the amount of fuel in the damn tank!
Anyway, it actually starts extremely easily when its cold or warm and runs great after starting. The only time it is hard to start is after throwing in another 5 gallons of fresh gas. Could it have to do with the fuel temp?
P.S. What does "Measure the RV cover clearance" mean?

MOST IMPORTANTLY...read & understand the Shop Manual specific for your ski, learn to browse the Seadoowarehouse microfishe.
The top ring of your fuel tank Bafel is marked ON, vent, res, return. ON & RES go to
the fuel selector valve, Also is marked. Check these for orientation!
Pro's make mistakes too, thats why they put eracers on pencils!
