Guys I need a little help please.

This boat takes some serious abuse. I use if for hunting and fishing a river. Would the carrier bearing not be better than the carbon seal?

The carrier bearing must be greased after every use to displace water out of it. Else the bearing will rust internally and seize.

So I suppose by selecting all the right parts and after spending enough money you can convert to carbon seal and never worry about that. Be advised that without taking certain precautions (really not that complicated), a carbon seal can overheat if you like to run your boat on the trailer.
