1997 GTX won't start with choke when cold, choke appears to be functioning. Will start if I squirt gas in carbs. I rebuilt fuel pump earlier this summer when it died on the water. Any ideas?

You must have air leaking into the suction side of the fuel delivery system, otherwise
the carbs fuel pump would be sucking gas out of the fuel bafel. My guess is the gas
fuel/water separator filter cap is cracked or loose. Bills86e
When I did the fuel pump there where two little clear circles (valves?) with a rubber piece through the middle. I only changed one beause it was a pain in the ass. Could that be the issue?
