GTX-SC Battery Possibly Needs Replacing?

Hey guys, I'm new here but I've lurked for awhile. I had a question regarding an issue I've been having this summer with my 2003 Sea Doo GTX-SC.

The battery has recently been dying after being left in the ski for a couple weeks. This past weekend it wouldn't start but after charging for awhile it did. However, I then went out on the water and shut off the ski and it wouldn't start again and I had to be towed in. After a long charge, it started fine and didn't have the issue again that weekend.

Also, sometimes when I go to start it, the computer resets to the compass as if the battery was unplugged and plugged back in. This happens maybe 50% of the time. The battery is a good brand, Yuwasa, I believe but it is 3 years old. I've looked online and haven't been able to find consistent information on the life of the battery.

Have any of you experienced anything like this? Does it sound like the battery needs to be replaced? I'm going to be going camping soon with the ski and I really don't want to get stuck in the middle of a big lake with no means of charging.

Thanks!

First sentence second paraph..."the battery has recently been dying"... is spot on. Put a new one in, enjoy your trip, and quit second guessing youself. Your gauges are responding to an insufficient/intermittent power feed. 3 years is respectable for a small battery. We could get reeaally deep on this...but, that battery has run its course.
