Bought a GTX recently which was in an unknown condition.

Having connected up a car battery by jump leads and putting in the lanyard nothing happened, no activity in the dash, start button wont operate the starter and no beeps. Is there a procedure required to turn on the electronics?

Having checked all the fuses and the wiring to be in good condition, I decided to by pass the solenoid and spin the engine over with out the plug. Finding the engine to be seized, poured mix paraffin and engine il in the bores and waited an hour. This did the trick and engine is spinning over freely on the starter now, sounds smooth so would assume no bad bearings.

So my main issue is getting the electronics to turn on any help in this area would be greatly appreciated

was the car running when you did this? If it was.. you could have cooked the GTX's computer. (MPEM) The number on deadly sin with a sseadoo is to jump start it.

Regarding your question... no... there isn't anything special. If the battery is good... just put the lanyard on, and it should come to life.

OK... moving forward... you need to check all the fuses. You may have gotten lucky, and you just blew the main fuse.

When I say a car battery, I mean just the battery its one I have for carrying about for cranking various things. Anyway surprisingly to day after leaven all the cover off in the sun she managed to start switch on and with a little bit of petrol down the intakes she started. So must just been a little bit of condensation on circuitry.

Once got it started became clear the throttle was jammed, partially open, so taken the carbs off and apart and ready go back on now. However seems despite most the small components being stainless. The screws holding on the throttle blades are plain steel. Now the issue of finding, what measures as 2.5 x 0.45 mm machine screws, in next day or so
