Rode a sleeper 787 back in the day and it was quick. I am considering doing it too and based on my research everyone raves about the kit. It's hard to go wrong for the money.

I have some extra cylinders I am going to send out to have the porting work done.

Ya that's kind of what I thought they really seam to have done there research

AdamA96XP it needs some work I'm planning on a full restoration next winter with a group k sleeper build and a rossier pipe I have. But I picked up a 98 spx this summer that needs much less work so I'm going to get that going this winter

Looks good! I've been watching your thread mine. isn't nearly as nice as the pictures make it out to be there is a lot of chips and deep scratches I'm planning on having the gelcoat completely redone next year

Id say leave it original. There are very few unmolested 95's out there and you have a gem. Oem decals?

95 XP800!!!
Keep the 2 strokes alive!

Yes but it's far from a gem I think it was raced by previous owners it had racing sponsons on it an at some point the ripped out of the hull and it was patched with bondo not glass and the is a large section on the left rear that has been painted I can only imagine what is under that so that's why I decided to have the gelcoat redone it will be factory colors though

+1 on Group K. I have them do all my machine work and they do a great job. Make sure you read their Tech documents and you will see they do their homework. They build endurance racing boats so even though they might not make the peak numbers you don't have to rebuild it all the time either.

I bought a 1997 XP brand new and installed their sleeper kit on it and it was everything they promised. It started and idled just like stock and never fouled plugs but it would now run with the stock 1998 XP Limited. The only clue from stock was the R&D air filter.

If it was me I wouldn't mess with the pipe. I would do the sleeper kit then after a season decide if you want to mess with the pipe.
