ground cable

hey all

i was working on a 2000 787 gtx rfi three passenger seadoo. i took the motor out, it went down for rebuild and now during re-installation i cant figure out where the ground cable is attached to the engine, i believe it is a direct run from the engine to the battery, any help?

Yes... the battery ground (negative) cable will go to the engine. Find a nice big bolt, and hook it to it. Normally, there is a bolt just for that close to the starter mounting point.

doc - isnt it usually the top starter bolt?
i just did this on an old xp
just wondering - length was right

Anywhere you can get a good solid connection is fine.

I believe on my GTX its on the top starter bolt.

hey thanks, just to clarify, the positive bolts to the starter right? none of my snowmobiles have electric start, everything else is similar except that
