I have a 2003 GTX SC and a 2001 GTX DI. I am going to split this into two posts because they are different engines, but I will link to the other. I had them winterized at a shop this winter because of time, but I would like to start doing it myself. I am going to get them back out in a couple of weeks. What do I need to do to get them ready?
For the 2003 GTX SC they performed the following when winterizing.
Changed oil and filter
Added fuel stabilizer
Blew the cooling system dry
I assume the pump oil was ok since they didn't change it. Should you check that in some way, or is it just every X seasons?
I will put fresh fuel in. Anything else that I should do? Spark plugs?
I am going to get the SC rebuilt at the end of this season. I am at 76 hrs and I double i'll get up to 100 this year.
