2009 GTI 130 SE running great first noticed idle was higher than normal
Then noticed the battery symbol flashing intermittently
Then getting a 12 V HI flashing on the dash.
Ski was running normal but I have been noticing it taking a few trys to restart when warm
Looking at new battery and voltage regulator
Am I on the right track?
Thanks for any input

Generally speaking.....most of the time "we" are battling a 12V LOW problem.....bad rectifier. bad wiring, etc....

A 12V HI problem is "new" to me but entirely possible....the ski produces AC voltage from the operation of the stator, the rectifier changes it to DC voltage (13.5 to 14.5 under normal conditions) for the ski and to keep the battery maintained above 12.5/6/7/8 for the next start cycle.

Most seadoo manuals that I have read say anything over 15VDC is bad and indicative of a bad rectifier...so you are definately on the right track (Charging System section of the manual - which you have or will download - should be able to find it for free) :thumbs-up:

Thanks for the response,
I already have a new battery and rectifier on its way. I had a similar problem with a ski doo snowmobile, was doing some odd things had a high voltage to, replaced the rectifier and all was good.
Ohmed out the stator and that seems to be in spec.
I will report back when I get it back together.

Update,
New regulator is in, new AGM Battery. Old battery looked to be OK after putting it on a battery diagnostic charger. (now a spare) Fluke on the battery terminals 14.81 VDC through the RPM range.
Will update again after water test this weekend.
Thanks

Last update.
Ran a few hours this weekend and everything is working perfectly!
There all good when they run.
Thanks

I used an aftermarket, Seemed more robust than the OEM when I matched them up.
I have had no problems with snowmobile aftermarket regulators,
took a $45.00 chance, if it fails I will report it here and go for the OEM.
