Gel Repair Question

So our new to us 2012 Challenger 210 SE has some scrapes in the black portion of the bow just below the anchor locker. It appears to happen when you attempt to float the boat off the trailer when launching. When the bow sinks, she hits the bow stop wheel and compresses it enough to hit the metal support the bow stop is bolted to.

Not a huge deal, but it bothers me. I've used some gel coat repair kits before with great success. These hulls are colored gel coat correct? Ours is black, but I notice 2 different blacks on this site http://www.spectrumcolor.com/Items.aspx?key=cat&code=K&manu=SEADOO&incl_m=T

Any ideas which black it is? Can we confirm its colored gel and not paint or something else?

Thanks guys.

My boat would do that if I was too deep in the water. Have you tried going in less with the trailer?

I normally back it in with the winch strap still hooked. I like to float our boats off the trailer. So once the back is floating, I unhook the strap and push her off the bunks.

Last time we went out I unhooked everything and backed her down the ramp super slow. Once she floated, the nose came down and compressed the roller enough to make contact with the roller bracket. It seems that the deeper she's launched, the more likely she is to have the nose come down too much.

There were some scrapes on the nose when we got her. Now we know how they got there.
