We have had or Sea-Doo about five weeks now, and I've noticed that whenever I remove the seat it smells like gas fumes. I don't see any gas on the bottom of the hull. The gas fill up hose going to the tank and the line going to the motor look fine. What the hell. I've noticed that I can smell fumes when I'm sitting on it at idle on the lake. Is this normal?

Mix 5 gallons of Hot Water & laundry detergent, open seat and pour it in compartment, then tow ski on trailor around town about a half hour, then stop at car wash, remove rear hull plug, tilt ski nose up and rinse the ski out. Bill

Suspect is the two Rotary valve 3/32"id x 6" injection lines cracked, failed. You
can use needle nose pliers to squeeze the metal clamp to re-install new ones (every
tw years) They are common weed eater fuel line.

Yes, check all fuel lines connections too. Gas tank hose clamps.

Wheres the leak?

I'm looking at the diagram but I'm still trying to figure out where the "two Rotary valve 3/32"id x 6" injection lines" are located.

It's normal.

The carbs spit a little fuel back into the airbox. After you are done for the day... and you take the seat off... it's going to smell like fuel. There is no way around it. (other than putting the seat back on)

You are chasing a leak that may not exist.

It's fuel injected.

Is hull clean? tanks crack round filler or fill hose. A clean hull ya could see where.
