gas and oil mixing

Does anyone who pre mixed fuel ever go to the gas station and fill up then add the oil based on the amount of gals to fill your tank?

I like to have some gas in the tank or can before adding the oil. Seems to mix faster without sticking to the bottom of the can.

Wondering what you guys do for fuel. I can only find Ethanol Free gas in 87 octane. I've been using the higher Octane with Ethanol and putting the Stabil Marine Additive in there.

On my 5th season with my 95 gtx. I use 87 octane with ethanol and use the marine stabil with every fill up. I do not have tempo lines though.

I have two 5 gallon fuel cells that I keep with my premix and stabil and top off the Seadoo after each outing. I do keep an aluminum fuel bottle(size of a water bottle) with oil and a measuring bottle in the compartment in case I need to fill up on the water though.

If your engine is stock use only the 87.

It is hard to find ethanol free gas around here without driving a good ways and paying a lot more. So, I just use the 87 octane w/ ethanol. I ride enough (live on the river) that I do not even use additives until later in the season when the outings are fewer. Then treat with storage dose on the last tank before winterizing.

I always found that locating non ethanol gas was more trouble than it was worth.

Also found that if I was out weekly it really didn't seem to matter, more of a concern for winter storage or if the ski sits for long periods IMO.

If you have a west marine or a Dicks sporting goods nearby they have an awesome premix container with a lid that you will love.

Here in California I have never seen non-ethanol but I do use Marine Stabil. Seadoo only calls for 87 octane so that is what I have always used with no issues.

Thanks for the experience. I will go to West Marine for the Premix container. I want one I can "love" LOL
