Tried rebuilding the carbs on my gsx limited and changed fuel lines. Couldn't get it working. Sent it to a shop and he wants 550.00 to change some fuel lines to bigger ones, clean selector, and put carbs back together the correct way because I left out a piece when rebuilding. Another shop told me 750.00 in labor alone. Just wanted to know if this is in the ball park for average fuel system repair or if they are taking advantage of me.... what do you guys think?

I don't know what year or model ski you have but the shop charge seems excessive. You should be able to do the job yourself for less than $100.00 (not including overhauling the carb(s)), maybe a little more if you need a new selector valve. If you're like me and feel uncomfortable rebuilding the carbs. there are a couple of guys on this forum that can do them for you. I only had to clean the filters in mine.

Anyway without going into a lot of detail here's a link to a thread on the subject.

It would be helpful to us if you would put the year and model of your ski in your online profile.
