I'm in the process of getting rid of my fuel selector, does anyone no off a blanking plate available to cover the old hole?
Thinking of removing the water separator and installing a inline filter instead, I'm trying to keep my limited setup basic.
any thoughts welcome thanks

What year is your limited? Gsxl or xpl?
I removed my fuel selector because it was compelling toast. I don't know of any plate but I'm planning of putting a little fiber sheet or epoxy.

I like your idea on the inline filter though I'm not sure if it's possible.

It's a 1999 spx with novi 44s, factory pipe spec 2, Ada head, msd
I'm just trying to get rid of stuff I don't need really [emoji6]

Back in the day racers just cut a round discs of hydroturf and covered the area. Use the old selector ring to get the same size.

Just a tip: We are picture hungry in here ... you'll get a lot of hits quicker with photos

Getting rid of the fuel selector is a good start (if it was actually not working and will save you on money for the fuel lines and sleector)

Not sure about the SPX but look into the MSD box, it does get rid of one or two boxes in the hull (depends on your model)

I'll tune in to you thread as I'm interested on the online fuel filter option

Personally, If I was in your shoes (modded ski) I would just bypass the selector and leave it there. But just remember to keep an eye on your fuel level. Leave it all there and you have a low buck block off plate....DONE.

As far as the inline filer, I only use the separator from Seadoo. I do not install an additional inline fuel filter, never saw the need.

Sweet dude [emoji106], shortening the fuel line won't make it run different will it? I know it probably sounds like a dumb question but thought I'd ask.

I would stick with the factory filter too plus it is a water separator too unlike an inline filter.
Also make sure you are using all 5/16" supply hose. Don't want to starve those 44's.

I've now bypassed the fuel selector and shorten the fuel line as they were really long, I was going to fit a primer a to my bike as it didn't have one and I used to have to squirt a little fuel down the throat of each carb to start it first thing and Then it would be good for the day. Since shortening the fuel lines and removing the fuel selector I no longer need to do this..
Is that a good thing or have I possibly caused a problem? I.e to much fuel now maybe?
I'm running a high volume Mikuni fuel pump with novi maxi flow 44s

Odds are the fuel selector was either restricting fuel and or sucking air. You are fine the way you are. Just don't run out as you no longer have Reserve Fuel.

Ok thanks just wanted to check as it a new engine and don't want to wreck it [emoji51]I've run the feed line to the pump from the reserve on the fuel baffle and caped the fuel on off on the baffle.

I sell these carbon fiber block offs

And aren't selling a single gauge hood for the xp? Still waiting on the pictures. [emoji111]
Is the block off a screw set up or stickers? It seems thin for a screw
