What is the length of the fuel lines of the Res and the Regular position. I'm referring to the length that goes inside the tank. Please excuse my terminology if incorrect as I'm all new to this

Don't know what ski you have but on mine (and many others) there's a fuel baffle/pickup in the tank. That's what all the lines on the top of tank connect to, there's no hose in the tank.

Here are some pictures I took to show more of what I was trying to explain

Well that's odd...

Admittedly I'm a seadoo noob so take what I say with a grain of salt.

What mine has is a plastic tube that sits in the tank, the top of which looks exactly like the rubber piece you're holding.

What it looks like to me is the plastic baffle/tube has been removed and the other top connections cut or sheered off and a piece of tubing added to pickup fuel.

But like I said I don't have a ton of experience with seadoos. One of the more experienced members can likely identify if your setup is correct or not.

His is the older style with the pickup hoses. You need to use fuel proof hose that can be submerged in fuel. Standard fuel line will not last. You need to make sure the strainers/check valves at the bottom are working correctly too.

Thank you both for the quick responses. @mikidymac by chance do you know what the length of the hoses should be? If my theory is correct on how it works, the Reserve side should be much lower (actually resting in the bottom of the tank) than Gas side. Is that correct? I'm just not sure of the exact sizes I should use.

Yes, I would keep the RES about 1/2" iff the bottom so it doesn't such up trash and the on 3" higher.

As long as your carbs look the same as the ones in my picture. Some of the early yellow engines used the round body carb which is different.
