1997 GTX replaced all the tempo lines with 1/4 marine line added an extra filter on inlet lines. Had carbs rebuilt by local Sea-Doo mechanic $380. Said that an accel pump on my machine is not right, which leads me to this question the inlet line on carb is 5/16 can’t get 1/4 to push on. Should just replace one line?Image1536587814.450638.jpgImage1536587867.855549.jpgImage1536587884.651648.jpg

On a 1997 GTX all the fittings and hose are 1/4" not 5/16".

Just use standard black automotive fuel hose, nothing fancy.

I totally agree man I replaced them with 1/4. However the nipple for the inlet on carb a 1/4 line would not fit (last picture) . Just really strange carb has an accelerator pump and bigger inlet line. Possibly someone put different carbs on it ??? Weird thanks man

All fittings shown are 1/4 line. A 5/16th inlet nipple looks way different. What does he mean "not right"? If he was a sea doo mechanic he would know whats wrong.

Said for that model and engine it should not have an accelerator pump on it. The inlet fitting on the carb I could not get the 1/4 line on line way too small

On the 787 motors, some had acc pumps and all are 1/4 line. The only thing he got right was that the 97 GTX did not have acc pumps. Attached is what a 5/16 fuel fitting looks like. The rest even on that carb are 1/4 fittings.
