Fuel issues?

I have a 1993 seadoo xp and it ran perfectly last weekend and this weekend I started it and it ran great idling and what not from the dock but when I got the main lake at wot it would hit 5k rpms and then 10 seconds later slowly head to 7k. And then one of the times it died when I let go of the throttle so I took it back and replaced the plugs thinking that was the issue, and now it will start for 2 seconds then just die and sometimes it'll idle for a minute then die, not sure what the issue is.

I'm wondering if it ran lean and scored the cylinders. Compression check will tell you that. If it's low, plan for a rebuild, if not, it could be a fueling issue.

Yup. Soon why did it fail?
Your going to have to look into if it overheated or it it lost oil (pump cable or malfunction)
If not it ran lean either from the carb being clogged or an air leak from worn crank seals.

Lots to look at to figure this one out.

Post pics of the pistone and cylinders and plugs. We might be able to narrow it down.
