Fuel gauge issue

I have a 2000 RFI GTX Sea Doo with approx. 210 hours on it. The ski runs great. My problem is when I fill the

fuel tank full (it will

overflow) the fuel gauge only reads 3/4 full. As you ride the unit, the gauge seems to work ok. It takes a

while for it to start to read the lower level, but it always does. What is my problem, and what is the fix?

I'm waiting on a similar answer myself. Mine was working fine till I let it sit due to a fuel line/carb project for about a year.

They really are not accurate. Kinda a round about reading. Bounces and stuff makes them read wrong. I fixed my senders and they have never been accurate!

Mine (2003 GTI) does the exact same thing. I fill it up completely and the most it will read is 3/4 full. I can have almost half a tank (visual check) and it will show I'm down close to empty. Aggravating having to take seat off several times to check fuel level.
