Fuel Filter Flow Rate?

For those who added the aftermarket fuel filter, here's a strange question...

When the engine is running and fuel flowing, does the filter get full of fuel and stay that way? I have observed mine and I can see fuel flowing in/out but the filter never "fills" so to say. Fuel pump problem?

I am still diagnosing crappy performance and am running the fuel system from one end to the other. Baffle is good, selector switch, water seperator/filter good, all lines good. Running out of things to replace. Carb was cleaned by Doc. Next step is working my way towards the carb. Very frustrating.

I've never seen them completely fill on all the toys I use them on.

mine only fills about 1/2 way

Mine drains when running and only stays at about 1/8 full BUT I can see fuel entering it when running, once the ski is off it fills up most of the way in about 15 mins.

Check your Combustion Compression and your RV cover clearance. Clear your pulse tube and hose, make sure no pinholes and clamps
are tight. You may have one or all three being the culpret.

Compression is 145/145. As for the rest, I'm working my way towards it!
