So can anyone Please tell me how many hrs there getting out of a tank of fuel on their 230 Challenger SP 430 HP ,general running around a little W/O throttle a little Boarding. I was out 2 weekends ago and put on 2.7 Hrs. with old fuel from last season with stabizer, no boarding, 10 Min W/O throttle ,25% at 1/2 throttle and the rest idling around it took 34 Canadian Gallons , thats 12.7 Gallons per hr.:banghead: dose this sound right?:svengo: I mentioned the consumption last fall to the dealer and one engine was 400 RPM less the the other and they figured that could contribute to it and sincronized them. Thanks

yup 12 gal/hr is about right for low throttle settings.

Those engines will drink about 17 gal/hr at WOT. (each) So... you will be using 34 gal/hr wide open. I don't know how big you tank is... but I'm sure that's not much time. (that's US gallons)

Boats are thirsty, and very inefficient.

As the old saying goes... speed cost money. How fast is your wallet?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you are feeding over 400 HP. your boat needs most of that HP to go 50 mph, but something like your car (Even if you have 400 hp) going 50 mph, you are only spinning 2500 rpm, and only need 20 hp to maintain that speed.
