So I finaly got the fuel baffle out today and found out something the book dont tell you. The manual says it should pull right out once all the main parts are removed...they forgot to mention you have to remove top plate of the ski pole that mounts to the hull to actually get it out on this model without damaging it. The plate screws damn near didnt come out!
Anyhow, I found the float & magnets in the bottom of the baffel...magnets detached and the float full of gas...pretty much useless, so I have to order a new one. Is there anything I could or should do to the new one when I get it to keep from failing again and make it last a long time? Also whats the best way to reconnect the fuel lines?...hose clamps look like they would be a real PITA if I ever have to do this again.

Yeah the one I ordered last night should be alot better than the one that was in there. Also think I'll use 1/4" outdoor/commercial rated zip ties to reconnect the fuel lines to the baffle, 2 per line should hold them.

That's exactly what I used, I think they work better than hose clamps, because they give a more uniform grip, also a lot easier to install. Use the black ones, u/v rated.

I used Panduit brand from Graybar Electric.

Where did you order the new baffle from? I will be removing mine soon and may need to replace also if not repairable.

I took mine out cause the fuel gauge wasnt working, but the fuel baffle was in good shape...it was the float that was bad so I ordered a new float. I've seen some on ebay for like $70...most seadoo parts places have them as well for your model if you need a new baffle.
