I bought 2 used 1097 GTX models. I noticed one has foam blocks in the front and the other does not. Is this an issue?IMG_6576.JPGIMG_6577.JPG

I’d say someone had to get to the bow eye mounting bolt at some point... I wouldn’t really stress it, but the foam does act as floatation should you fill the hull with water. You could always cut some new foam and replace it if you want peace of mind.

It isn't something that gets removed and replaced so you will just have to try some adhesives and see what works.

What kind of adhesive are people using to hold new foam in place?

The answer depends on the type of foam used.....so just check the label on the adhesive that it is compatible with the foam you are trying to use.......white styrofoam is not the same as closed cell foam board, etc.....so it really depends on what and how you are going about it.....would probably be a lot easier to cut and build up layers of rigid foam board anyway...make cardboard templates as you go
