Flushing connector

Can I start my motor up when hooked up with a hose to the flushing connector? I just want to tune it up after sitting all winter, before I put it in the lake. Any tips to first start up after sitting? Been stored in heated garage for 8 months?Never did anything but turn battery switch off. Thanx!!!!!!!!!!!

Is yours a carb'd boat? You do you fuel stabilizer right?

It is fuel injected. I talked to my dealer and they said to hook up and fire it 1st, then hook up hose? Tried, but it won't fire up!
