Flap for drain

Every time I take the boat out in the water I get water in the boat as soon as I put it in. There is a hole under the drivers seat where the water drains and the hose goes all the way to the back of the boat, right next to the bilge exhaust. I was wondering if maybe that's where the water is coming in? but I don't see a flap of any kind that prevents the water entering by pressure into the boat. Should there be check valve? Any sugestions please pass them my way. thx. :cheers:

Thank you so much for your help! I found out that what I need is a "Scupper Valve" that does have a flap that prevents water from coming into the boat....Super...once again this forum has proven that it really works and saves people a ton of money. Thank's once again for your time....

There should be a Scupper valve at the transom. The factory valve should be a rubber flap, but there is a ball style too.

If you look around, you can get them for $12 or less. I think I got my new one for about $8.

m 97 challenger has the ball style, kinda cool looking. But it seems to work well. i would recommend that type.
