Fitting a Humminbird HDR 610 Depth Gauge

I was thinking of installing a humminbird depth gauge

in my newly acquired 2003 Sportster Le.

Has anyone installed one of these?

I was thinking of installing it in the blank blank slot on the seperate dash space just above centre of the wheel below the 3 dials, however the gauge may fit in the hole it looks quite long in lenght, would I be better swaping out one the 3 dials and putting the depth gauge there and putting the moved gauge in the lower blank black space as mentioned above.

Would you use the transom version or the puck version?

Dermot, check out my install with a Hawk Eye depth guage. The unit is very similar. Here is the Thread under modify. http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=1093

I installed a puck version rather than drill another hole in the transom.
