I am 16 and I just got a SeaDoo 2001 GTS with good compression. The previous owner had it for 1 year and didn't winterize the fuel system during the last winter. I have no ideal about how it was maintained before him.
When in water and accelerating in water it initially bogs down, almost dies, then accelerates. After running a tank of sea foam and carb cleaner in it, it runs slightly better. I am rebuilding the carburetor using this kit.
It doesn't have the grey fuel lines so I think those don't need to be replaced.
While I'm rebuilding the carb is there anything else you guys think I should proactively rebuild/maintain/replace? I have the service manual but it's a little overwhelming.
