First ride pics-98 GS!

I've had her out twice in the last week and it has been a blast! She has ride great and has a decent amount of power. It did top out pretty quick though, wish it was a little quicker. Handles pretty good though. On the second ride I took my girlfriend with me and that was sketchy. I was pretty tense because I couldn't ride like my normal self and it was pretty damn tipsy. The lake felt warm and we had a good time! Here's some pics:

And here's my buddy that was showing me the ropes:

Congrats, it's always nice to hear a success story, may you have many happy rides ahead.

Thank you! It was great. Still getting my sea legs. I raced motocross a good portion of my life, but this is a little different.

The second ride wasn't as good as the first, my dumbass friend didn't put the plugs back in and I was worried about launching correctly on my own for the first time. So the ski didn't sink just tipped us off. I pulled the plugs all the way out(one was all the way out, one was barely in), drained it, wiped it down, aired out the air box, waited 30 mins and she fired back up. Needless to say I won't let that happen again haha

Nope, unless you get real crazy you shouldn't tip it. I have a 96GSX, same hull similar ski, I don't believe I've ever even come close to tipping the ski. I believe your ski has the 717 probably the most reliable motor BRP ever put in a ski.

Awesome. Yeah it didn't tip over the weight of the water that came in just dumped us off.

Sounds like I picked a good one and one that has been taken are of. I'm all about reliability!

There are a couple of common problems for all ski's of the 90's and early 2000 skis, check and see if your ski still has grey tempo fuel hoses. Also if it has the original oil injection lines they should be replaced. You can find more about these problems in the how-to section of this forum.
