Bought a 2005 GTI with a neighbor. Literally have not been on the thing for an hour.
My co-owner had it out and complained that it lost power (while full throttle) until it stalled, then it would not turn over. He was towed in.
Seadoo oil was topped off, start and all wires look great and secure. I bought a new battery as well.
loud click heard when you try to turn it over.
Took it over to a local shop and he quicky diagnosed it as having a stripped main gear or stripped rotary gear & stating that it needs a new engine. One of the plug gaps was closed.
How does this breakdown (stripped main gear) occur?
Trying to figure out what happened. Any help will be appreciated.
