F*#@'n dess... Is this normal???

new to the DESS scene, is it normal that once you hook up the lanyard beep beep, then crank it up... she runs NOW... kill it wait a sec. try to crank it again only get bbbeeeeeppppp.... then i gotta take the lanyard off and rehook to crank again.... is it normal to have to unhook the lanyard every time you kill it just to start again?... it happens on both of my skis
