exhaust gasket

Hey guys had to pull the pipe to put my new pickup in there mag cover. Now I need to put pipe back on. The gaskets still looks pretty thick and good. Would it b okay to use some black rtv and that gaskets or cl I need to get a new one? Just wondering is like to go back to lake tomorrow but if not ill order a gaskets.

I have sprayed copper gasket maker on my old gaskets with success. :cheers:

Hmm I might try a little black rtv on it. And get back to lake tomorrow.

I use RED on exhaust. Black is a non hardening silicone. It does not set up like red will. Red is high heat too.

Okay ill get red in the morning n throw it back on. Should I be fine like that.

I have red on mine for 6 or 8 hrs of riding no problems.
