Exhaust flow and polishing ?

Hi all,

I am rebuilding my seadoo 720 engine and I wondered if it was interesting to polish the exhaust manifold? (inside)

the original texture is grainy and maybe that would improve the flow of the exhaust streams, right?

What do you think ?

(and also polish the cylinder exhaust ports at the same time)

Wouldn't hurt to try it out. As long as you don't take off too much material then it will retain its structure. Not too sure of how much it would increase performance but I've heard of people port matching and smoothing manifolds before.

It will not increase performance at all. Not worth the trouble.
