So with the advice, a slap in the face, and a bit of know how, I decided to pull and clean the carb of my "bad" motor, this morning. I haven't had time to take it apart b/c I have class.

Here's the reason for my post: I had to call the previous owner, b/c I have had the boat a month and still haven't received the papers. He asked how it was running, and I told him the prob. He then told me that as a quick fix, his "mechanic" told him to premix the gas, and not to fill the oil resivor. Why I ask, he said that the is "something wrong with either the pump, or maybe the hoses, or, "then he said, "well we never really looked hard enough to find out".

So, i am now stuck with the issue do I try to find the pre-existing problem and try to fix, or premix. This is where my knowledge begins to fade. I have no idea where to go from here. Last wk'end, i went out on the boat and wrote about the fun i had on it and the problem here: http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=22456 .

I appreaciate any and all help, suggestions, and comments. Thank You much everyone.

gots ur back

sup, youngster....you got the carbs off, COOL, now throw towel on table, and start disassenbling one side atta time. Once you do the first one, second ones', cake.

Problem i see/read, is the previous owner throw'n oil in gas? Is there oil in the resivoir, or you remember, when you bought it, if it had oil in there (resivoir)? Also, may I suggest, dont use "his" mechanic for anything...
