My 04' GTX S/C spit the chain and wrecked a few exhaust valves so I have the engine out and on the stand to repair. I figure I might as well rebuild it to handle some future modding (more boost, etc). I am not looking to turn it into a racing ski but would like to hear your opinions on the parts below. I am on a limited budget for this project so I cannot afford rods, cam, crank, etc. Please let me know if anything looks overkill or not worth doing since I am using mostly stock internals. In other words, I don't want to spend an extra $300 on ARP fasteners if it is pointless on factory internals.

2010 RXP Pistons
2009 Valves
IWIS Timing Chain
ARP Head Stud Kit
ARP Rocker Shaft Bolts
ARP Flywheel Bolts
ARP Rod Bolts
Stock Crank
Stock Flywheel
Stock Cam
Stock Rods

Would this setup be a bit better than stock and handle a few extra pounds of boost if I should choose to head that direction in the future or should I leave it alone and run all stock stuff?

Thanks,
Chris

With higher boost numbers comes the need for higher r's. A better/reflashed ecu will allow that.

In order to take advantage of those r's...safely...you'll need to improve the retainers and springs.
