Hi…I have a 2005 SeaDoo GTX Wake that I purchased used. The engine starts briefly most of the time but immediately quits. Other times it doesn't start at all. Checked the battery cables, cleaned the spark plugs (going to replace - once we find the right ones..on 3rd try). We were thinking of syphoning the gas out but our syphon is too big. Any ideas/recommendations welcome! thank you!

Congrats on the new toy, I'm sure you'll make use of it!

When you start it, does it just imminently quit, or does it bog then quit?

I have two 2014 wake 155's and they are both doing same thing. Hard to crank, then starts, misses a lot, then dies. Try again and it cranks a little better and runs fine. I'm thinking batteries because if too low to run ignition I would get hard starting and poor running, then once it started, even for only a little while before dies, the charging system gave them a little boost to run on second try?

Batteries are two years old. When new, dealer did not prep machines properly as they didn't have time. Batteries were only filled 3/4 with electrolite and they didn't charge them. I had to add about 8 oz of distilled water to each to get to middle range of marks.

once upon a time I had a prob starting a boat...it'd turn over...would struggle to fire...start....them immediately quit. Problem turned out to be a faulty kill switch.

Check your dess post and key...as well as the solenoid's electrical connections. Load test your battery.
