Engine not starting 2001 gtx

Several things I would try: Not in any particular order
1. Jump the solenoid to see if it will turn over . if it does it may be a bad solenoid. If it doesn't could be starter or power issue.
2. Take out the spark plugs and see if it will turn over. if it does you may be hydro locked, crank it like that and see if any fluids come out.
3. Have the battery load tested to verify it is a good battery (at autoparts store).

Get back with us with results, that will tell us where to start for our next troubleshooting

I have a solenoid along with some ground wires ordered to make sure it’s none of those issues hopefully tomorrow night or the following I’ll be able to try to install to see if those work, but I was not able to jump the solenoid

The battery I know is good as it started in my 97 GTX and their brand new from AutoZone and while it being in a car place yes it is the correct amperage for the 2001 GTX

I watched the video again. Most likely, your starter failed, and perhaps the magnet came loose due to overheating if you tried cranking it for too long with a poorly charged or non-chargeable battery. Buying a starter will help.

I don't know if you were able to fix it; in my case, it was doing the same thing, and it was the solenoid I've indicated in the photo. You can bypass it and test if that's the problem or not.
