Engine Light GTX 4-Tec Deluxe

Newbe to the jet ski world. SeaDoo was the recommended brand. Got a 2000 GTX-4Tec Deluxe. Has been great but now Check Engine light is coming on after running awhile. I turn off, then on and it goes away for awhile and comes back on. It runs great, but this light concerns me. Any suggestions? I'm seeing others with the same problem. Not a hole lot of summer left it I have to trailer it and take it in. Help.

Engine Light

Your problem is more than likely due to faulty oil pressure switches. SEADOO knew they had a problem and came out with updated switches a few years ago. These are the new part numbers:
420 256 885 (this switch is located in the front of the engine near the oil filler cap area)
420 856 530 ( if your sitting on the ski this switch is located on the right side of the engine, mid way up and towards the rear).
