I have a '95 SPX and am getting it ready for the winter and trying to get as much water out the engine and exhaust as possible.

I saw that some engines have a plug that drains the water and any crud out the bottom, just wondering if my engine has the drain plug?

none of the seadoo engines have a water drain. So... I'm not sure what you are trying to ask.

Thanks Dr., I was reading several forums, might have saw it for one of the other manufacturers. Someone was saying that there is a plug that is at the bottom on one of the engines that allows the block to be drained of all water when you're winterizing it or it get's sand/junk pulled up and run through the engine.

I'm getting ready to winterize mine and thought that maybe it would be better to have it completely drained, than putting antifreeze through the block.

You may be thinking of the earlier 580 engines (yellow for sure and probably for white). The service manuals for the 89-94 SeaDoos point it out in the flooded engine section that there are 2 drain plugs at the bottom of the case, under the carb. I do not see this section in the 95 service/shop manual. I thought it was a good idea, do not know why it was discontinued.

the cooling system diagram does make it appear as if there is a drain in the cooling system, but this is really just showing that the lowest spot on the engine is where the water outlet is connected so that the water in the engine should run out when the ski is shut off.
