ECM cost?

My mechanic has told me my electronic control mod is fried. He quoted a 750.00 price for a new one plus install. Do you guys know a better way to go on this or a parts place that would sell ECM discounted?

the parts name you are looking for is called and MPEM. you can get them used for about. 250-400 depending on which one you need. its an expensive part. and fyi the dess is matched to the mpem so you'll have to have one programed to your new one.

Found an mpem for my 98 for 468.00 from leaders marine on ebay. What would be a fair labor charge for install plus dess program?

Install, and program should be an hour labor.
