97 GTI 717 the little cable bushing between the carb and the oil pump....the angles look off to me

That's where it goes but I can't see if the guide is in the notch (the recessed area for locking into the mounting piece) I kinda snaps in and then turns to lock which helps hold the cable guide in place. On a side note that piece is one of the easiest to loose on the whole ski. LOL

Not sure....it was deleted when I bought the ski, I installed the oil pump

Looks like your missing the little E clip or c clip. If you look at the plastic piece there's a groove for the clip to rest in

The e-clips rust to nothing. Once you get guides in place correctly they stay in position without the clip. If it worries you put a little silicone on it. I never do. They are a bitch to get out sometimes.

Agreed, should be a "c" retaining clip,,,but it is working,,,just open a beer.
